Most people who have sailed around the world agree; make few plans. The wind, repairs and the people you meet will all make it hard to plan your route in detail.
We know that we will start in July 2008. By October we will reach the Canary Islands, making the ship ready for the grander crossings. A trip down the west coast of Africa follows. We will cross the Atlantic from Cape Verde to Martinique in December 2008. Three months in the Caribbean and Colombia ends with the crossing of the Panama Canal in April 2009.
We plan to stay in the Pacific for a year. After the South China Sea, we will cross the Indian Ocean towards Madagascar and South Africa. We aim to be in Cape Town by November 2010. The second crossing of the Atlantic takes us to Brazil. We will then cross our own tracks in the Caribbean, two years after our first appearance. A quick trip north to Miami, hopefully through Cuba, follows.
The great finale consists of a trip north to Newfoundland, followed by Greenland and Island. If everything goes according to our plans, we will set foot on the shores of Norway by august 2011.
